Smile On Seniors aims to bring exclusive programming geared to our large Older Adult and Senior Community. It provides monthly events that promote social interaction and features exciting activities for Seniors.

Additionally, Smile on Seniors offers volunteers who visit with home-bound or lonely Seniors at their homes, in assisted living communities as well as at the hospital. Their mission is to bring joy and stimulation to the visitees.

Smile On Seniors is dedicated to providing an open door environment for strengthening and enhancing Jewish values and identity to all people, regardless of background, color, philosophy or level of commitment. Smile On Seniors has programs for everyone.

ACTIVE ADULTS

SOS offers programs for active seniors. Including but not limited to:​ Holiday Celebrations, Luncheons and programming, Discussions with the Rabbi, Educational lectures and workshops, Tea and Talk with Chani, Challah and Holiday Food Workshops

SENIORS

Aging in place is what all seniors would like. Through SOS, Jewish Seniors can now socialize as well as have some spiritual fulfillment amongst their peers. Our programs foster a community amongst Seniors. It brings comfort and joy, support and community, to a silent but significant demographic in our midst. Through a wide array of services and programs, SOS is changing the quality of life experienced by hundreds of seniors, their family members and the volunteers who reach out to them.

SOS offers programs to engage seniors living at home and living in Senior Living communities. Including but not limited to: Shabbat Dinners, Holiday Celebrations, Luncheons and programming, Discussions with the Rabbi, Chaplaincy, Educational lectures and workshops, Tea and Talk with Chani, Challah and Holiday Food Workshops, Birthday Program, Chicken Soup for the Soul (Sick)

VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteer corp consists of all walks of life and professions. We are very proud of our vibrant and ever growing community of volunteers.

Covid-19
During the last couple years we have been able to provide to our community's seniors and older adults socializing and learning via virtual zooms, free Mental Health Professionals to those who need, Essential Errands, uplifting Telephone Friendships, monthly Shabbat Dinners To-Go, Pesach Seders, Senior Love Packages, ‘2020 Style’ Holiday Events, scheduling vaccine appointments and more!
We are glad we are back to in-person programs! However, we continue to reach out and help in any way our seniors need extra assistance.
We have committed to keep all programming with a virtual option when possible.

SHABBAT DINNERS - MONTHLY
Close to 300 seniors and older adults celebrate Shabbat enjoying a four course home cooked Shabbat dinner, in a warm and loving atmosphere.

IT’S NOT JUST LUNCH - MONTHLY
Over 100 seniors and older adults enjoy a scrumptious lunch plus an activity or informative presentation.

SOCIAL EVENTS
Older adults come out and socialize with old friends and make some new ones, all while having fun together! Events include: Deli Night, Chinese & a Movie, Painting with a Twist, Super Bowl Party, Pizza Social, BBQ, Movie Nights, Give Me a Bake, Thanksgiving Dinner

JAMA - Jewish Active Mature Adults - NEW!
A new cutting edge platform of programs, events and offerings exclusively for like minded Jewish Active Mature Adults. Offerings include: Social, Fitness, Education, Book clubs, Mixers and more. 

SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING
Tea & Talk with Chani, Discussion with the Rabbi, Holiday programs, Mah Jong and more!

FRIENDLY VISITS
Our flagship service remains our in home visitation program. Friendly volunteers visit seniors to develop ongoing relationships.
